During a tour of the Los Alamos Historical Museum Robert Carter (center with blue T-shirt) tells his sons and daughters stories about some of the people he worked with when he was a Manhattan project scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory on Friday, July 16, 2010 morning. Carter, who raised 11 children on the hill, is celebrating his 90th birthday in Santa Fe Saturday night. Colleagues from the 1940s and 1950s will be joining the celebration along with family and friends. In all there are 55 adults from the family with spouses as well as 10 grandchildren.
