Eight adult members of HaMakom were called to the Torah for the first time as B'nai Mitzvah, the traditional ceremony where Jews become responsible for observing the commandments service at St. Bede's Episcopal Church on Saturday, May 22, 2010. . For some this is something they have longed for since the age of 13, when the status is traditionally conferred. Four out of the eight students converted to judaism.
