santafenewmexican > A gas line began leaking after it was hit during drilling at Zia Road and Camino Pintores. Santa Fe Police, Santa Fe Fire Department and New Mexico Gas Company are on site. The area within a 1/2 mile radius was being evacuated including residents from Camino Carlos Rey to Yucca and areas north. Officials are still evaluating whether or not there will be a need for further evacuations while repairs are made. Motorists were asked to avoid the area. The Genoveva Chavez Community Center was available for evacuees.
